The LyoDry Heritage Freeze Dryer is ideal for pilot or small production scale freeze drying of food and beverage products, flowers, or for the controlled preservation of archaeological artefacts.

LyoDry Heritage Freeze Dryer has a front-loading, stainless steel drying chamber with controllable operating temperatures between -40°C to +50°C.

LyoDry Heritage offers two different size options. Five removable, stainless steel trays provide either:

• a 2.6m² drying area with 30L ice condenser (part number LSH30) OR
• a 5.2m² drying area with 60L ice condenser (part number LSH60) 

LyoDry Heritage Freeze Dryer has a total drying area of up to 5m2 across 5 removable trays. Fully automated with data logging, touch screen control and remote view option.

The drying chamber is accessed via a clear perspex, hinged door for easy loading and visibility throughout the freeze drying cycle.

A transparent door at the front of the condenser enables easy defrosting of the condenser chamber. Hot gas defrost allows for faster batch processing.

The user-friendly, touch-screen Operator Interface provides process variables, product temperatures, system status and fault indicators, both in real time and logged continuously to memory. System status is obvious at a glance.

A USB port is provided for data retrieval, and optional Remote View via your own external computer is available if required.

If you’re new to freeze drying, then it makes good sense to conduct trials before investing in capital equipment.

Whilst our LyoDry Freeze Dryers are competitively priced (particularly our entry level LyoDry Compact benchtop freeze dryer, which is an ideal low cost solution for start up labs, small scale freeze drying and R&D), the fact remains that freeze dryers don’t come cheap (or if they do, then the adage that you get what you pay for is worth remembering)!

For this purpose, we offer benchtop freeze dryers for monthly rental within the UK. This means that you can effectively try before you buy.

Or if your existing freeze dryer requires service or repair, then hiring equipment will ensure that there is no interruption to your process. 

Rental freeze dryers are supplied with an acrylic chamber and 6-tray accessory, and a vacuum pump. We will deliver to your site, and collect when the hire period is completed. We can even offer on-site set up and basic operator training if required.

If trials are successful, and you decide to invest in a new freeze dryer, we can offset some of the hire cost against new equipment – whether it is a benchtop freeze dryer, or a larger capacity freeze drying system.
